Introduction

Hi Everyone,
This is my first attempt to create a blog and start sharing my thoughts. Through this blog I intend to share business knowledge in Supply chain management and implementation methodologies using Oracle EBusiness Suite. Since last 9 years, I am working on Oracle ERP implementation and support projects. All these years while implementing ERP, I have gained some business knowledge and more importantly learnt how to implement those using Oracle. It has been a great learning experience for me to understand the business and to mold the technology to implement the business process. However, since last couple of years (after getting a basic hang of the Oracle application business suite), I have grown interest in understanding how technology can enforce a business process to change to make it more efficient. This is where I found that people having both business concepts and application knowledge play a key role. For an IT consultant like me, the learning strategy is opposite. Having the knowledge of ERP, to understand the real SCM concepts and then to bring up with a newer and better solution is a real challenge. This blog is an attempt to understand and discuss existing business processes and functionalities and how we can bring a change in process to deliver better results. I have more of SCM experience and would like to disucss on those lines. Stay tune and I will start sharing more on these lines .....
